Association stresses it remains committed, national voice for private fleets
Imitation is said to be the sincerest form of flattery, but the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) needs to emphasize that it remains the only committed, national voice for private and dedicated fleets.
“Earlier this week, the Ontario Trucking Association announced plans to develop a subcommittee known as the ‘private carrier council’,” says PMTC President Mike Millian. “The name sounded vaguely familiar to us, but the PMTC wants to stress that it is not involved in this project in any way.”
The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) has been the voice of private and dedicated fleets since 1977, and continues to meet the unique interests of those who move their own freight or use trucks as tools to deliver a broad array of services.
Its ongoing support for private fleets includes:
- Focused information for private fleets delivered through regular E-Bulletins, timely News Briefs, and our official publication – Private Motor Carrier magazine
- Cost-effective educational and networking opportunities including Canada’s largest annual conference dedicated to private fleets and more
- A strong voice for private fleets in discussions with government regulators
- Partnerships with like-minded organizations that are committed to the same goals
- Unique member-only discounts and value-added services from reputable industry suppliers
- Business guidance and consulting services which understand the nuances of private fleet operations, and how they interact with other aspects of a business.
“It’s great to see that a for-hire fleet organization has come around to our view that private fleets have unique needs,” Millian said. “Rest assured, the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada will continue to meet those needs for years to come.”
