This year’s TTSAO Conference will have a very noticeable accent on the technology side of training.
It is sure to raise some eyebrows with the complement of simulations, the ability to store training and certification on the cloud, the added benefit of technology tracking the recruiting progress and how ELDs and automated vehicles will impact our progress. Our keynote speaker this year is a professional speaker, Paul Artale, who will deliver his talk, titled Hit Hard – 3 Must Have Mindsets to Build Resistance. A thoroughly engaging and contemplative presentation for business as we are emerging from the pandemic.
Another key presentation that you will not want to miss is Dr. Heider Al-Mashalah from the McMaster Digital Transformation Research Center. He is expected to talk about a range of investigative technologies that will report the acceptance of training techniques through Facial Recognition and key metabolic reactions. We will also look into dangerous goods tracking and handling with regards to new technologies, as well as how carriers should consider true costing using new technologic costing principles. With the ELD mandate finally coming into place where citations will begin to be issued, we will look behind the curtain of ELD technologies to see where there might be gaps and areas prone to error that can affect your business, and your insurance rates.
Also on the schedule is an intriguing look into the spectre of Autonomous vehicles and what is happening with them, and how they might influence our businesses and what drivers can expect now and in the near future.
One of our key improvisations will be the use of Breakout sessions that can allow smaller groups to zero in on a topic of choice, with a much less formal chance for a question-and-answer period.
Once again, the Conference will be held at the splendid location of Lionhead Golf and Conference Centre. We continually receive rave reviews from this location and the food and rooms are second to none.
Join us February 21 and 22 to take in all the information, technology, networking and friendships that we know exist at a Conference of this calibre. Looking forward to getting your 2023 year off on the best path possible.
Sincerely, Philip Fletcher Conference Committee Chair, TTSAO
