Recently, Haldimand County presented Kim Richardson Transportation Specialists Inc. with the 2017 Business Excellence Award for companies with 10 or more employees.
The population of Haldimand County is over 46,000 with many brand named organizations in the communities. The award, which is presented annually, seeks to recognize successful, innovated companies and business leaders who continue to drive economic growth in the community and provide employment to local residents.
“It is a great honor for KRTS to be chosen for this award. Since 1989 KRTS has called Caledonia home. Caledonia along with the other communities that make up Haldimand County are very important to us,” said Matt Richardson, Sales & Operations Manager at KRTS Inc.

There were numerous categories for outstanding business achievements including the Agri-Business Award, Business Award, Tourism Business Award, Youth Entrepreneur Award, Not-for-Profit Award. In the Agri community, also from the transportation industry, L.F. Mattice Farms & Trucking Inc. was presented with the Agri-Business Excellence Award.
